Pet Driver/Chauffeur Job Description

Petmo offers first-class on-demand pet chauffeur services for pets and their people, including pet professionals, senior citizens, owners of service, emotional support, and therapy animals. We take care of our passengers by providing VIP services that ensure travel is stress-free and accommodate your specific needs as our passenger while you and your pet travel in style.

What you’ll be doing

We are looking for reliable candidates with good time management skills for a Professional Pet Driver/Chauffeur position. The Pet Driver/Chauffeur is responsible for picking up pets and their owners or delivering unaccompanied pets to clients promptly, working days, evenings, and weekends, and ensuring that vehicles are always ready for use, among other duties.

You will be responsible for…

• We provide pick-ups/drop-offs for dogs, cats, or other animals.
• Pets can ride alone or with their owner.
• We bring animals to different destinations in the TriState area or long-distance rides.
• Pets are secured in vehicles, as discussed during the interview.
• Work with family-friendly, professional staff.
• Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
• Interacting with clients in professional conduct.
• Maintaining an organized schedule.
• Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
• Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary.

• Day shift
• Night shift
• On call
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Work Location: On the road
• Willingness to travel: 100% (Required)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative
• Able to work individually as well as part of a team
• Ability to make sound and reasonable decisions

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

• Experience with animals and pet owners is a plus!!
• Valid driver’s license
• A good driving record is required. Maximum of 3 moving violations in the past 3 years 
• Valid registration and insurance
• Must pass a background check
• Must be professional at all times
• Clean vehicle and well dressed
• Driving two years of experience (Preferred)
• Chauffeur’s Permit (Preferred)
• Looking for Owner Operators. Vehicles accepted:
  • Priority: SUV, CUV, Minivans, Transit Connect or similar = More $ per trip
  • Sedan car must be clean at all times
• English Language: Must speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace and by the customers.
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed

COVID-19 considerations:

Masks are optional for all drivers and customers. We provide drivers and staff with PPE.
