Our inbound lockbox Customer Service Representatives communicate with customers and are often the “voice” of their company in that role. They field incoming calls, help answer questions, and solve customer problems on a wide array of topics. They are essential to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
With the need to handle many different tasks beyond just communicating with customers, the Lockbox Customer Service Representatives must be able to manage time well. They often assist other departments, as well as maintain data and summarize customer inquiries for presentation to management and reporting.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from Lockbox customers with inquiries on lockbox processing
- Analyze customer issues and assist in resolving the issues within the required timeframe
- Coordinate with customers and ensure appropriate questioning to identify, research, and solve issues
- Manage customer inquiries and escalate to management as needed
- Occasionally assist various departments to facilitate on-time processing of lockbox payments
- Ensure optimal utilization of all resources and resolve all issues.
- Collect and maintain quality data needed for monthly reports
- Analyze issues and recommend alternate solutions to ensure effective resolution
- Administer and prioritize all customer tasks and ensure achievement of all deadlines within required timeframe
Education and Background
- This position requires a high school diploma or GED (an associate degree is preferred)
- Previous Lockbox experience is a plus
Skills and Competencies
- Proven customer service/support experience
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Familiarity of computers and the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
