Full-Time Franchise Commercial Portfolio Manager I (Req#1355)
Job Description
The Portfolio Manager I will support the lending team with financial analysis and portfolio management. This candidate may or may not support as assigned portfolio. The PM I will collaborate with PMs within the team to develop and deliver credit documentation and assist in portfolio administration. The PM I should review all concepts (policy, procedures, underwriting, management etc.) with their manager to ensure proper understanding and review questions. The PM I will require oversight and involvement from their manager, relationship manager, team leader, group head and senior PM to complete most tasks. The PM I should work to develop their skills to increase their independence.
Major Responsibilities include but are limited to:
Policy and Procedures
- Read and learn credit policy & procedures
- Read and learn RACs
- Become familiar with the 15-point Risk Rating System
- Understand the risk rating scorecards and complete with PM/RM guidance.
- Knowledge of locating policies and procedures on the intranet
- All these concepts should be reviewed with manager to ensure understanding and review questions.
Underwriting and Due Diligence
- Accurate financial spreads and financial analysis
- Underwriting for renewals with PM/RM guidance
- Assist other PMs in underwriting for new transactions
- Attend and observe at Credit Committee and Predeal
- Accurate completion of the T&C within nCino
- Obtain and analyze industry information
- Become familiar with industry terminology
Portfolio Management
- File credit and financial documentation
- Monitor and complete financial covenants, financial reporting requirements, and annual reviews
- Monitor reports for Maturity Date, Commitment Review Date, Commitment Renewal Date
- Pull BIC and nCino reports for portfolio monitoring and surface important information. Reporting to include covenants, maturities, MAPs, ACH, etc.
Legal / Loan Closings
- Work with the manager to develop familiarity with commercial lending legal documentation, including loan terms and covenants. Participate as an observatory role with Bank counsel.
Technology
- Basic knowledge of nCino, OPTIMA, FIS, RIMs, and CASH
- Exposure to other job specific systems like Costar, Guidestar, D&B, etc.
Special Projects
- Participate in and offer a commercial lending perspective in special projects, as needed.
Education and Experience
- Familiarity with franchise brands in restaurant industry preferred.
- Travel up to 10% is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with formal credit training.
