Job Description

Title: Global Operations Associate

Hours: Full-Time

Location: Brooklyn, New York (Open to hybrid work model in NY or fully remote.)

Reports to: Associate Director Planning & Purchasing and VP Global Operations

Compensation: Salary range is $70,000- $80,000 depending on candidate experience. Our full offer includes benefits like fully covered healthcare, a company bonus plan, and equity stock options.

This Role:

As the Global Operations Associate, you will provide access to the tools, data models, and metrics needed to guide cost savings across the operations division. You will share valuable insights for decision making at all levels, from senior leadership to individual contributors. You will work with an international group of operations professionals to improve resources, promote sustainability, and improve profitability across sales channels.

You Will:

  • Develop metrics, tools, and models to analyze operational spending & efficiency across the business. Share insights into cost saving opportunities – targeting $200K in savings per year;
  • Build data solutions for the emerging markets warranty program to forecast warranty needs and report on our cost of quality to leadership;
  • Promote efficiency in the planning process by optimizing tools and data solutions;
  • Improve automation of reporting and data sources to ensure ease of maintenance, scalability, and data integrity;

You will also work on a variety of high priority data projects across the Operations team. For example:

  • Optimizing & maintaining Tableau inventory dashboards to support inventory management;
  • Support the monthly forecasting process;
  • Prepare data for Monthly Business Review (MBR) to identify trends, share insights, and implement changes or improvements;
  • Build customer support & logistics dashboards to direct resources to highest needs;
  • Maintain Operations team KPI dashboard to be shared cross-functionally;
  • Support accurate Purchase Order cost tracking through improved tools & automation;
  • Participate in ad-hoc data improvement projects with strategic importance to the business.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a data focused role (i.e., strategy analyst, management consultant, investment banking);
  • Experience working independently to build and iterate on data solutions that are easily understood by stakeholders and drive business-focused decision making;
  • Experience using data to unpack complex problems;
  • BA/BS from an accredited institution with demonstrated quantitative reasoning skills;
  • Experience working on data analysis in Excel / Google Sheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets);
  • Experience working in data visualization tools;
  • Experience collaborating across departments to execute on projects;
  • Willingness to learn SQL, Asana, Tableau, NetSuite, and other technology systems.
  • Comfort organizing and presenting data clearly in excel/google sheets using formulas, pivot tables, and visuals;
  • Comfort establishing priorities;
  • Comfort discussing technical concepts, managing trade-offs, and evaluating opportunistic new ideas across partners;
