THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Rangers Football Clubs in a role that will help deliver the success of its exciting New Edmiston House venue.

New Edmiston House is an incredible, state-of-the-art facility that will host a long-awaited club museum, a new two-storey Rangers Store and a fantastic events space for use on matchdays and beyond, thus enhancing the experience for supporters when they visit Ibrox at games and increasing footfall on the Ibrox campus on a daily basis.

The Ticketing Manager will assume responsibility for the ticketing platform management and all associated ticketing operations related to New Edmiston House. The role will ensure that the customer experience remains high, and that all events are managed effectively.

New Edmiston House will host various events, from supporting match day operations, Club Events, Conferences, Museum & Stadium Tour bookings, and live entertainment, including concerts.

Furthermore, this role will involve close collaboration with various departments across Rangers Football Club and New Edmiston House to ensure the delivery of a seamless ticketing operation from the point of purchase through to accessing the venue.

Leveraging the insight gathered from ticketing sales trends, the Ticketing Manager will help guide the business in several areas. These will include defining strategies to maximise sales and identifying where resources can be best placed to support event operations, acting as the New Edmiston House liaison for internal & club events, and working with third-party promoters.

Rangers Football Club competes in the SPFL Premiership, Domestic Cup and European competitions with between 25-30 fixtures and events per season hosted at Ibrox stadium. With the addition of New Edmiston House and The Rangers Museum, Rangers Football Club is looking to expand its offering, celebrating & building on the club’s past, whilst looking forward to the future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a primary contact for all ticketing queries both internal & external.
  • Provide regular reports, and provide insight on ticket sales across the venue.
  • By working with the wider team, ensure that all events within New Edmiston House are fully supported by the ticketing department.
  • Responsible for the management and personal development of employees.
  • Engage with The Club, and third-party promoters to increase the visibility & appeal of events, maximising ticket sales whenever possible.
  • Liaise with internal departments for any ad hoc events that may be booked into the venue.
  • Oversee recruitment and day to day booking of venue ancillary staff, (eg. Event box office staff).
  • Implement systems to ensure a consistently high standard of experience.

General Information:

  • Given the nature of the business, this role includes working at both weekends and evenings in accordance with the fixture schedule, & events diary.
  • A developed sense of discretion & confidentiality is required.

THE CANDIDATE

The candidate attributes include:

  • An understanding and appreciation of ticketing systems, and the expectations thereof.
  • An ability to identify customer demographics in relation to specific events and target marketing accordingly.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with social digital marketing.
  • Experience of managing a department.
  • Excellent communication & staff management skills. Collaborating, supporting & motivating others to be part of a happy and effective team.
  • Administration and familiar with Excel + MS Office packages.
  • Experience of staff management/rota management.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and focused attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly with own initiative and as part of a team.
  • An ability to operate and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Able to work flexible and unsocial hours including evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
