Job Description
British Swimming is the national governing body for aquatic sports in Great Britain, and is responsible internationally for the performance and management of all international British teams.
We are seeking a Diversity, Inclusion and Social Responsibility Manager to join the central team supporting our world class aquatics team incorporating Swimming, Para-Swimming and Diving, reporting directly to the Head of HR.
This is a varied role and the purpose is to manage, create and ensure the effective delivery of British Swimming’s commitment to Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), Sustainability, Social Responsibility and to ensure British Swimming delivers on Health and Safety (H&S) responsibilities.
The successful individual will have previous experience of working within the D&I field and have knowledge of Sustainability, Social Responsibility and H&S within the workplace. Proven ability in producing surveys, gathering, analysing, monitoring data and report writing are essential requirements for this role.
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, self-starting and strong team member who has the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and has excellent organisation, communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads whilst meeting deadlines.
Experience of working within the sporting industry along with experience of writing successful funding applications is desirable.
