Abingdon & Witney college seeks two motivated individuals to join our highly successful Construction Teams. We have two vacancies available, one at our new Bicester Construction Skills Centre and the other at our new Green Construction Centre at our Abingdon campus.
The roles involve working with the Carpentry and Joinery trades for both Site Carpentry and Bench Fitting and includes a variety of duties including preparing workshops and materials, monitoring and ordering tools and equipment, ensuring high standards of health and safety and supporting the vocational training and assessment of our students.
Suitable candidates will need to have a sound knowledge, experience and understanding of the Construction Industry and ideally hold a recognised level 2 or 3 qualification in a Carpentry and Joinery specialism.

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
This role may be eligible for the ‘Taking Teaching Further (TTF)’ programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
