Full-Time Auto Mechanic / Vehicle Equipment Repair Technician II – NEW HIGHER PAY!
Job Description
- Service, repair, rebuild and diagnose mechanical systems for gas/diesel-powered automotive, heavy equipment, and power tools.
- Operate a motor vehicle and have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker (N) endorsement. At times you will have to operate a fuel truck as needed.
- Prepare and maintain paperwork related to employment, equipment repair, inventory, and service records.
- Perform skilled mechanical work including the following systems:
- Preventive Maintenance
- Tires, and Tubes
- Wheel & Rims
- Cranking Systems
- Lighting Systems
- Cooling Systems
- Fuel Systems
- Hydraulic Systems
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on at least one of the following: light, medium, heavy-duty trucks, and/or heavy equipment.
- Diagnostics experience of basic electrical systems and proper wiring repairs.
- Basic hydraulic system repair experience, including component replacement and hoses.
- Experience troubleshooting/repairing at least one of the following: light, medium, heavy duty, or farm equipment brake components.
- Knowledge of diagnostic software, tools, and equipment for trucks/heavy equipment.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Strength to move parts/material to repair and maintain equipment.
- Ability to safely operate equipment for testing purposes.
- Commitment to provide safe working environment by leading by example.
- Ability to read and interpret Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License with N endorsements.
- The job requires work during adverse weather, such as snow/ice, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. that may lead to working extended daily hours, weekends, and holidays.
- A pre-employment drug screening is required.
- We will conduct a background check for your past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol testing.
- Safety toe footwear will be needed.
- When needed, we will need you to work in emergency situations and inclement weather.
- We may require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III, or Universal Technician.
- High School/GED diploma, and
- 2+ years of relevant experience, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
