MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, SENIOR
Job Summary:
- Develop, test and document designs for various processing stations, including deposition chambers, substrate heating, cooling, cleaning etc.
- Working independently and with members of the Engineering staff, assume responsibility for technical assignments involving basic or applied research for the design and development of hardware products including the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic and/or mechanical devices, components or systems.
- Coordinate with manufacturing during pilot run and first production runs to ensure efficient transition from engineering into production. Monitor the progress of assigned devices of components or systems to ensure that technical problems are solved. Prepare documentation, drawings, procedures, or manuals as necessary. Maintain high level of technical competence and state-of-the-art awareness. Typically works under limited supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience with mechanical and electrical assembly, construction, operation and test of vacuum systems; constructing and troubleshooting printed circuit boards, electronic modules (for example, motors, power supplies, instrument controllers), AC wiring, and high voltage electronics. Skilled with hand and power tools. Basic computer skills, such as entering and plotting data with Excel and writing simple procedures, status reports, and e-mail.
- Pays attention to detail and possesses good communication skills.
- Ability to work some overtime and Saturdays.
