Full-Time Senior Product Manager – Remote
Job Description
Job to be done:
We’re the best way to get better.
About Buoy Health:
At Boston-based Buoy, you can join a work-from-wherever team that empowers people to choose the best care for their health needs. Developed out of the Harvard Innovation Labs by a team of doctors and data scientists, Buoy leverages its AI to understand peoples’ symptoms and then guide them to relevant care options within Buoy’s care marketplace, where people are free to select the option that feels best for their situation. Buoy also works with employers, health plans, and health solutions to simplify and streamline accessing covered care options.
About the role:
Buoy is on a mission to build the most robust destination for managing health needs. By pairing our AI navigation capabilities with an agnostic marketplace of third-party health solutions and care providers, we are matching people with the best care for their unique situation. One of Buoy’s greatest differentiators is leveraging our machine learning algorithms to intake users’ symptoms and provide a potential diagnosis and triage recommendation. As Senior Product Manager for our Medical Guidance team, you will build on our current success and further our goal to give personalized guidance from symptom to treatment. Through understanding care seeker inputs (e.g. symptoms, medical history, insurance, etc) and turning them into actionable treatment recommendations, you’ll be building out the journey for receiving personalized guidance throughout our marketplace experience.
You’ll be successful if you love hypothesis-driven product development, 0 to 1 thinking, experimentation, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and designing the best end to end user experience (often based on different user needs).
This role works closely with designers, data scientists, engineers, clinicians, researchers, and content writers. Through collaboration with your partners you’ll articulate strategy, KPIs, OKRs, hypotheses for how to best execute the strategy, and the tactics best suited to validate those hypotheses. Day-to-day you’ll lead a high velocity team and ultimately deliver measurable impact to our users and our business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Medical Guidance team, in collaboration with data science and clinicians, to deliver a unified vision
- Create product strategy and drive hypothesis generation and ideation to launch new products and experiences
- Drive outcome-focus execution – what matters most is how the product impacts our customers and our business
- Communicate vision, strategy, important decisions, and outcomes across the company
- Inspire and collaborate with designers, engineers, data scientists, and clinicians through the entire product development process
- Work closely with analytics and research teams to gain feedback and insights directly from customers as well as marketplace partnership teams to identify gaps
- Be a trusted partner throughout the organization and effectively communicate with stakeholders in Legal, Customer Success, and Product Marketing
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure cohesion between your products and the overall Buoy product experience
About You:
- 4+ years shipping consumer software products, in a cross-functional and agile environment
- Comfort doing both high-level strategy and execution: you are confident in giving a presentation to the CEO and running a meeting with engineers, design, operations, and marketing
- Capable of leading and motivating teams in a challenging, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
- You always refer to quantitative and qualitative data in making product decisions and have experience with research tools + methods and comfort with analytical tools
- You’re a natural prioritizer, have great instincts when it comes to what matters, and have made tough but smart trade-offs
- You care about Outcomes over Outputs – goals matter more than the roadmap
- Excellent Communication skills and ability to work on a growing team
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience delivering recommendations, personalization, ads or machine-learning based products
- Experience running experiments and interpreting quantitative and qualitative findings
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision
- 401k with company match
- Stock options
- Generous unlimited vacation policy
- L&D reimbursement policy
- Work from Wherever—Buoy is remote first, with employees located across the US
- Time off for major holidays, including the last two weeks of the year
- End your work day early every Friday!
