Bicester Construction Skills Centre with some teaching at our Abingdon Campus
Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Renewable Technology Trainer to contribute to the College’s support for skills in this rapidly growing sector.
For this brand new role we are looking for a dynamic and innovative candidate to work with the head of our Bicester Construction Skills Centre and deliver our vision to improve the availability of training in the areas we serve.
The college expects to offer courses in both Bicester and Abingdon. The quality of facilities and the quality and passion of our staff at the Bicester campus create the professional atmosphere of an employer training centre and a brand new building on our Abingdon campus has state of the art facilities, providing a modern and professional learning environment for the courses we want to run.
With the skills needed to manage a dynamic and evolving area of provision, you will be fully committed to delivering courses of the very highest quality. Our apprenticeship provision is graded Outstanding by Ofsted, so you can be sure that you are joining a team that strives to deliver the best they can for their learners and employers.
Our ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification and some prior experience within the renewables field. You will also have a real passion for the development of renewable technology. You will hold a valid UK driving with access to your own vehicle and be able to commute to both Bicester and Abingdon.
This is fantastic opportunity for someone to join a college that genuinely cares about the fate of our environment and will also actively support you to develop your own skills. If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been waiting for, then please get in touch
Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
This role may be eligible for the ‘Taking Teaching Further (TTF)’ programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
In return, Abingdon & Witney College offer excellent benefits to our employees including generous pension and holiday schemes (with potential Christmas closure days), continued professional development, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, cycle/tech scheme and much more.
