Full-Time Manager, Compensation
Job Description
Position is responsible for implementing, and administering compensation policies and programs to ensure compensation offerings are competitive and compliant. The Compensation Manager works with Director Compensation, HR partners and people managers to ensure that compensation programs and policies support the organization’s strategic objectives.
The Compensation Manager responsibilities include:
Work as part of the total rewards team to support the development and implementation of innovative global total reward strategies.
Partner with HR business partners, talent acquisition, and people managers in a consultative manner to develop compensation recommendations to attract and retain a high performing workforce through utilization of market data and analysis of internal equity.
Manage salary survey participation to include data submission, data refresh, and utilization of market data to ensure salary ranges and compensation recommendations are aligned with company compensation philosophy and strategy.
Participate in the development, implementation, administration and maintenance of global compensation programs to include base pay, short and long-term incentive programs.
Manage compensation planning processes to include salary increase, bonus payout, and equity award cycles.
Conduct job evaluations / job levelings.
Establish and maintain salary structures and recommends salary increase budgets.
Conduct internal equity analyses to identify and address pay discrepancies.
Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state regulations and global labor laws that may affect compensation policies and keeps abreast of trends, and make recommendations for changes and improvements.
Collaborate with HRIS to ensure accurate compensation data processing and reporting and enable efficient and effective processes to administer compensation programs and policies.
Partner with Legal, Accounting, Tax, Audit, to ensure accurate and timely reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Participate in projects to ensure appropriate stakeholder management and timely delivery of project deliverables. Projects may include but not limited to development of new programs, development and implementation of systems or tools, or merger/acquisition/divestiture due diligence and planning.
Position requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business, finance or related field.
8 years of experience in administering broad-based employee compensation programs.
In-depth knowledge of job evaluation and compensation benchmarking methods and tools as well as salary structures.
In-depth knowledge of wage & hour and other relevant laws and regulations.
Knowledge of incentive program design, planning, and administration.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to work with raw data to provide insights to support business decisions
Advanced Excel and data analysis and data manipulation skills.
Intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills.
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Compensation certification preferred.
