We believe your hard work deserves to be rewarded. That’s why we offer a competitive salary with plenty of room for growth. For this role the baseline salary is offered at between £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.

The platform is fully self-serve allowing our clients to build, run and monitor bespoke events using real-time control. The Role

We are looking for a passionate storyteller and content strategist to join the team. 

Following recent investment, the company is undergoing a significant phase of growth and we are now looking to for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to support our sales and marketing activities. You’ll be joining a team of inquisitive and enquiring minds, helping to communicate the value of Totem’s digital engagement platform in helping organisations deliver next generation events, meetings, learning and communities. 

The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the content marketing strategy for the business, with a direct focus on impacting the sales funnel through generating engaged, marketing qualified leads. This is a nuanced role that requires both strong communications skills and commercial nous. 

You will demonstrate an ability to create clean, concise messaging and content tailored to Totem’s ideal customer profiles and personas. Be able to clearly understand and interpret data to evaluate content performance, and continuously measure and iterate to improve results. 

 A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a marketing team in either a SaaS, Technology or events related business is essential. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Driving the content marketing strategy for the business with a focus on lead generation and growth metrics.
  • Creating content and messaging tailored to ideal customer profiles and personas including: web copy, social media, blogs, press releases, email marketing messages, case studies and presentations.
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to understand the impact content and messaging has on the lead funnel.
  • Continuously measure and improve content performance leveraging reports from Google Analytics and HubSpot
  • Working closely with senior leaders, marketing teammates, and other departments to create effective communications strategies that articulate our product’s core benefits properly and consistently
  • Reviewing content produced by team members and external writers, including conceptualising projects upfront, assigning projects and overseeing development and copy-editing prior to publishing
  • Serving as an exemplary writer, consistent with Totem’s tone and mission.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 2 years content marketing experience
  • Must be analytically curious and embrace using reporting tools to interpret data and evaluate performance of content.
  • Proven ability to produce content on a variety of industry related topics that generates engagement and qualified leads.
  • Able to demonstrate examples of using ROI and online engagement data to measure and improve content.
  • Adept at SEO best practices and keyword placement
  • A confident communicator
  • Flexible and adaptable work ethic
  • A highly organised and proactive person
  • Desirable to have some experience in events but not essential
