Job Title: Print Technician
Reports to:
- Director of Graphics and Printing
Core Responsibilities:
- Follow Printing work flow
- Ensure correct color and label quality
- Ensure correct procedure for fulfillment is followed on completion of labels.
- Ensure printer supplies are on hand
- Ensure proper machine maintenance is followed
Responsibilities:
- Ensure artwork is print ready.
- Load print ready artwork into appropriate software and send to printers.
- Maintenance and operation of designated printers.
- Maintain inventory of supplies for designated printers
- Troubleshooting on printers and/or cutting problems
- Cut and distribute labels printed in-house to the correct associate.
- File/restock excess labels from production floor
- Load and unload correct media and/or ribbons
- Assist in label receiving procedures and delivery to Production.
- Performs any other duties or tasks that may be required of you by the company
- Promotes and demonstrates behavior consistent with the company’s core values and policies
Experience/Skill Sets:
- Graphic Design degree preferred but minimum knowledge of Adobe Illustrator required
- Experience on Afinia LX5; Summa DC5, Exjet and Roland TrueVis Printers preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Sound knowledge of printing process/requirements
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly and problem solve
- Strong attention to detail essential
- Ability to multi-task, working on multiple projects at once
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of working with a team
- Good communication skills
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines – sense of urgency=
Education:
- Graphic Design degree preferred or equivalent life experience
- Printing and Prepress Experience required – large format and / roll printers
