Part-Time Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator
Job Description
Position Overview:
Princeton AlumniCorps seeks an organized and creative Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator to support branding, graphic design, collateral creation and ongoing communications. Communications work will largely support development/fundraising, alumni engagement, and AlumniCorps’s two core programs: The Project 55 Fellowship Program and Emerging Leaders Program. Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Development, this position will play an essential role in telling the AlumniCorps story to multiple audiences and generating funds to support our mission.
The Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator will:
- Manage the organization’s Communications Calendar and ongoing communications meetings to plan and schedule organization wide communications.
- Work closely with our Development Team to strategize about the organization’s social media strategy.
- Create the graphics (and image descriptions) for our social media posts and manage the scheduling of these posts on Hootsuite.
- Be an integral part of the Social Media team to help explore new ways to use social media and drive engagement.
- In consultation with other staff, ensure website content and landing page are up-to-date, engaging, and on-message.
- Support the creation of branded fundraising campaigns
- Edit video recordings of AlumniCorps events
- Drive the content and layout for ongoing communications including a regular newsletter and annual report.
- Coordinate the layout, content and scheduling of program related collateral including newsletters, program directories, alumni storytelling and other program related materials.
- Develop a communications guide that lays out standard practices and protocols , digital media strategy and encompasses the organization’s commitment to equity, justice, and inclusion.
Strong applicants will:
- Have strong graphic design, writing and technical skills
- Digital and print media experience
- A knack for storytelling both graphically and with the written word
- Excellent computer and graphic design skills with experience creating web pages, social media content, print publications, and electronic communication
- Comfort working in a highly collaborative environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
This role is a 30 hour a week role with an opportunity for remote or hybrid work. Our office is located in Princeton, NJ. The salary range for this position is $32,500 – $34,500. Employees are eligible for 403b contributions, health insurance, generous PTO, organization-wide mental health days, a summer Friday schedule, a professional development budget, and 12 paid holidays.
