Full-Time Weaver Operator
Job Description
FMI is seeking detail-oriented and motivated Weaving Operators to join our Production Team! As the Weaving Operator, you will receive on the job training to support manufacturing needs and operate Loom equipment. First shift AND second shift available!
Shift: Monday – Friday 7am-3:30pm OR 3:30pm-11:30pm
Rate: $20/hr + 10% shift differential for second shift
Essential job functions include, but are limited to:
- Needle making and sewing
- Automated weaving on looms
- Performs Multi-D Weaving tasks such as Z finishing, core insertion
- Support pultruded carbon fiber rod drawing
- Support Carbon fiber stretch breaking process
- Inspection of the loom, parts, materials and quality inspection of completed work
- Recording of process data of manufacturing records for processes, parts and materials
- Load and unload equipment with proper tools and technique
- Observe and record equipment temperature readings
- Ensure safety and housekeeping policies/procedures are followed
- Adheres to the Quality System
- Supports Continuous Improvement Program
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- Production experience preferred
- Ability to obtain a U.S Clearance
- Able to read, write and understand job specifications
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full shift
- Knowledgeable with computers
- Ability to perform physical repetitive motions
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections on processes
- Must be able to wear required PPE
- Capable to work with minimal supervision
