As an Industrial Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for the retention and full account management support for Gas South’s industrial customers. The industrial customer segment includes but is not limited to Interruptible, ITS, direct connect, Carolina, and other high-volume firm customers. You’ll cultivate and strengthen relationships with these customers, proactively advising and seeking opportunities to meet their needs for contract management, billing, load management, collections, energy usage, and rates. You’ll partner with Lead Originators and Commercial Account Executives as well as Supply & Risk Management to create customer loyalty, retain these customers, and provide expertise and communication for this segment.

Other stuff we like:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business required
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in sales with detailed understating of marketing, sales, rates, billing, and energy is required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the natural gas industry
- Preference for experience in serving industrial customers
- Experience with NAESB contracting
- Excellent PC skills in Microsoft applications
- Experience in Salesforce is preferred
More details on what you would be responsible for:
- Provide pricing solutions to customers, including customer and account research, producing and customizing proposals, contracts while interacting with customers directly.
- Partner with Commercial Account Executives, Lead Originators, and Supply & Risk Mgt to provide business expertise and strong relationship support to achieve customer retention goals.
- Provide support to customer and work with SRM in managing OFOs for industrial customers
- Execute transactions and contracting for customers in a timely manner. Utilizing Gas South contracts and NAESB contracts where appropriate.
- Assist in the development and execution of an on-going account plan strategy for assigned customers.
- Effectively communicate customer’s position to the company and proactively communicate the company’s position to the customer on key issues.
- Facilitate communication and resolution between customer and appropriate company department of billing, meter reading, energy usage, credit, and day-to-day collections issues, offering advice on ways to reduce customers’ bills through conservation and/or creative rate applications, construction or service delivery.
- Demonstrate comprehensive and current knowledge of pertinent technical, business, regulatory and industry issues related to key customers, which will help gain credibility with customers.
- Evaluate rate alternatives which will meet the customer’s and the company’s needs; understand customer load requirements, purchasing practices, and budgeting process to best determine information to include in sales presentation.
- Effectively use the CRM to record key customer information to aid in the retention and service of assigned customer segments. Maintain and update customer related data (correspondence, contracts, etc).
