Full-Time Physical Performance Coach – LFCW

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Liverpool FC Women`s team working as a Physical Performance Coach to manage the delivery of both individual player and team-based physical performance training programmes for Liverpool FC Women`s 1st Team and Academy.

What will you be doing?

-Design and implement, in partnership with coaches and other service providers, high quality and individualised physical preparation programs including, but not limited to, strength and power enhancement, speed enhancement, agility and movement skills refinement, endurance capacity increased, and injury prevention and rehabilitation.
-Liaise and co-ordinate frequently with other service providers and coaches to ensure effective and efficient service delivery within each sport program.
-Work optimally within your prescribed scope of practice and within the rules and guidelines of your professional body.
-Work collaboratively with team support staff, including coaching, medical, and physiotherapy staff.
-Data collection, analysis and reporting on daily wellness, daily physical screening and on pitch training loading metrics.
-Design and implementation of recovery strategies and education to individuals and players
-Ensure high level of knowledge around physical, psychological, technical (position specific), and tactical (style of play) demands associated with football.
-Work collaboratively as part of a high performing team/organization, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and/or external stakeholders to lead and deliver high quality business outcomes.
-Support match day team preparation and match day operations

Who are we looking for?

To be successful you will have a BSC in sports Science or related field, holding either a UK Strength and Conditioning accreditation (UKSCA) or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) (NCSA), in addition to Football Association Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) qualification. You will also be an Anti-Doping Accredited Advisor and have experience of strength and conditioning within an elite sporting environment.

The role is fast paced so it`s vital you can plan your time effectively and have excellent planning and organisational skills. This is a collaborative role so solid communication skills will be key, and you will also need the ability to work on your own initiative.

It would be desirable if candidates held an MSc in Strength and Conditioning or postgraduate related study, a S&C related qualification such as NSCA/BWLA/FA Level 3, or is a BASES Accredited Sports Scientist or possesses a Biokinetics Degree or Post-Graduate degree in human movement or exercise and sports science.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week on a 5 out of 7 days basis. Although you will work at different locations your main base will be Wirral, Merseyside, with requirement for travel based on the team`s fixtures.
