Position Overview:
GLG is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Sydney team as a Project Support Specialist. Project Support Specialists (PSS) are responsible for arranging connections between GLG’s clients and selected Network Members, global key opinion leaders and senior industry executives acting in a consultative capacity. To facilitate these engagements, the PSS will work closely with both the GLG Client Solutions team and GLG’s sophisticated client base, inclusive of private and listed equity firms, management consultancies, Fortune 1000 companies. In the PSS team, you will develop a deep understanding of GLG’s business model and end client markets as well as acquire incredible client service experience in a dynamic, high intensity environment.
Key PSS Responsibilities
- Facilitating smooth interactions between GLG’s client base and requested Network Members
- Act as the primary contact for the Network Members, and assist with requests as they arise
- Determine suitability of Network Members for Client projects, through aligning their experience to client specific preferences
- Superior communication and interaction skills, including demonstrated oral and written abilities
- Passion for sales and conversation, especially a successful track record in phone sales or outreach
- Ability to communicate and manage relationships across the full professional spectrum including senior colleagues and extremely senior outside professionals
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Align with and develop deep understanding of a specific end-client market
- Demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Assist the Client Solutions team in managing the administrative requirements of their projects, including:
- Screening Network members for client projects, and writing profile highlights to send to the client
- Obtaining availability of Network Members, frequently across multiple time zones
- Conducting courtesy calls to Network Members to remind them of their upcoming consultation
- Scheduling in consultations between the client and the Network member
- Assist with any rescheduling or cancellation requests
- Monitoring consultations, and managing technical issues if they arise
- Appreciate the urgency of competing projects and prioritise accordingly
Required Skills
- Superior communication and interaction skills, including demonstrated oral, written and presentation abilities in a business-focused setting using a variety of communication channels (telephone, e-mail, in-person, etc.)
- 0-2 years of work experience in a client service capacity. Experience working internet research/head hunting/recruitment /market research is highly desirable.
- Familiar with Excel
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a top tier university
- Business level proficiency in English
