Job Purpose
The Client Onboarding/Transitions/Conversions incumbent will lead client account onboarding/offboarding/change management/other business critical projects, coordinate asset in-kind transfer events, support proprietary commingled funds and maintain broker/custodian documentation requirements and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding/Transitions/Conversions –
Independently coordinates onboarding project management of new client accounts into systems and handles transitions and conversions for existing accounts.
Serve as an advisor supporting client account onboard/transition/convert to/from a diverse range of organizational products and solutions.
Responsible for overall success of large, complex transitions/conversions ensuring project quality and efficiency.
Leads project management activities for the onboarding/transition/conversion of accounts such as organize calls with stakeholders, documenting progress, planning, issue / risk tracking, scheduling, effort estimation, and other project documentation preparation.
Identifies significant gaps or quality issues in transition processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
Leads complex conversion activities, completes account onboarding/offboarding/existing account set up and maintenance supporting proprietary organizational products including Bank Collective Funds/Hedge Funds/Other Funds.
Fund Support requires an in-depth understanding of custody, transfer agency and fund accounting and processing workflows.
Reviews controls to effectively mitigate risks and resolve problems that arise during the conversion process and fund support.
Marshals firm-wide resources (Product Development, Technology, Operations, legal, Compliance, Investment teams, etc.) to ensure transition/conversion needs are being addressed and develops processes to ensure communication and alignment across teams.
Presents project progress, findings, recommendations and existing workflow analysis to senior business leaders.
Facilitate legal documentation review and completion with internal and external parties for proprietary commingled funds.
Regular review and appraisal of workflows and procedures to provide optimum client experience and appreciation of risk environment.
Provides leadership and recommendations for support and training to assist with documentation, quality review and submission of documents.
Coordinates in-kind transactions for collective funds and separately managed accounts with internal and external parties.
Supports trading documentation and workflow requirements liaising with Legal/Compliance/Operations internally and also with Brokers/Custodian Banks.
Responsible for complex change management projects including process and platform changes. Contributes to the achievement of other objectives within the team.
Leads process improvements based on post-mortem transition analysis
No direct reports. Acts as a Team Lead and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues. Allocates work to and monitors the work quality of others.
Experience and qualifications required:
Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
7-10 years of total work experience preferred.
Experience in securities, financial services or client-facing or project management roles preferred.
Project Management certifications preferred.
