Temporary Casual Pre-Academy Goalkeeper Coach
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified coach with FA Level 2 Coaching Goalkeepers who is flexible to work across the week including evening and weekends to join our Pre-Academy team and a part time, casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and recruitment of Pre-Academy Goalkeepers, preparing them for their journey into Foundation Phase. This role will be specifically focussed on the Pre-Academy phase with regular support given to the outfield Pre-Academy department and occasional support within the Foundation Phase Goalkeeping phase.
What will you be doing?
-Work closely with the Head of Pre-Academy Recruitment, Head of Pre-Academy and the Senior Goalkeeping Department to ensure the continuous development of all Pre-Academy goalkeepers.
-Effectively deliver a high level of training for the Pre-Academy`s goalkeeping development programme.
-Ensure all Pre-Academy goalkeepers are fully prepared for games and follow a comprehensive development programme
-Create a positive and energetic environment for player development; display high standards of behaviour, appearance and encourage the same from all coaches and players at Pre-Academy.
-Ensure timely and accurate updating of player attendance on the Academy`s registers.
-Work with the Academy Goalkeeping department to plan, deliver and evaluate coaching sessions in line with the Academy`s philosophy, goalkeeping coaching plan and coach competency framework.
-Liaise with the Head of Pre-Academy Recruitment and other key staff to identify and recruit goalkeepers across all pre-academy age groups.
-Undertake continued professional development organised by the Academy and in line with EPPP rules.
-Undertake other duties as directed by the Lead Pre-Academy Coach and/or Head of Academy Goalkeeping.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful you will have a FA Level 2 Coaching Goalkeepers and FA Level 2 Coaching Football qualifications together with relevant qualifications in Safeguarding and First Aid. You will have an exceptional knowledge of Goalkeeping and are able to focus on individual player development within a team process. With excellent interpersonal skills, you can communicate confidently with parents and at all levels internally across different departments. You will have a good level of IT Skills and be organised, methodical and have a logical approach to work as well as working well under pressure. You will be able to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role including working evening/weekend hours as well as the ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally when required. You will be dedicated to self-improvement and personal development.
