Job Description
Leads and provides direction and guidance as part of the Third Party Project Management Office. This includes leadership and management of a wide array of activities associated with project planning and milestone execution to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to stakeholder specifications. Drives end-to-end project management, such as project design and planning, project documentation and reporting, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, stakeholder management, and other activities for projects of high complexity. Secures, leads, motivates, and inspires the internal and external resources required to deliver the program/project. Establishes the program’s governance (e.g., sponsors, approvers, stakeholders) and creates the associated documentation as needed. May have formal management responsibility for program/project team members. Manages stakeholder and senior management expectations to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Establishes relationships and has regular contact among peers within the firm and at times externally (can include regulators and professional organizations). Provides advice to stakeholders and project team on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy. Ensures project delivery and documentation is in conformance with company methodologies and standards. Contributes to the achievement of function objectives.
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 10-12 years of total work experience in Project Management preferred. Experience in operational risk management or third-party management is a plus. Knowledge of regulatory landscape and experience in delivering regulatory programs is a big plus. Intellectual curiosity and ability to connect the dots across new and complex subjects are required, as well as a strong desire for success and professional growth. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required – must be able to tell a story in a structured, clear, concise, and visual manner.
