GreenLight Fund – Posted by GreenLight Fund Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Job Description

About GreenLight Fund

Since its founding in 2004, GreenLight Fund brings together communities to identify and pull-in social innovations that address priority unmet needs. Our mission is to transform the lives of children, youth and families in high-poverty urban areas by creating local infrastructure and a consistent annual process to:

  • Identify critical needs
  • Find and bring into the community innovative and entrepreneurial social programs that can have a significant, measurable impact addressing those needs, and

We study the local landscape to identify systemic and/or structural barriers that when addressed can provide equal access to economic opportunity for individuals and families. In partnership with communities, GreenLight convenes a space to elevate local challenges, then invests and connects social and financial capital and resources to meet those challenges. Started in Boston in 2004, the nonprofit venture philanthropy organization launched the Philadelphia site in 2008. Additional GreenLight cities include Atlanta, Bay Area, Greater Newark, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Detroit, Kansas City, and the Twin Cities.
