FTE: 1.0
Salary Range: $112,524 – $160,000
Essential Functions and Objectives:
Plans and directs the development of integrated communications efforts across the District, including internal and external communications, media relations, social media, websites, marketing, strategic communications and multicultural language services. Oversees the implementation of related strategies across multiple platforms that effectively articulate District priorities and initiatives, build strong community relations and increase visibility and impact. Provides advice and proactive support to leadership regarding the communication of sensitive District-wide initiatives and issues.
Reports to the Chief of Staff. As part of a values-based organization, achieves Board of Education ends and goals through our shared commitment to Students First, Integrity, Equity, Collaboration, Accountability and Fun. Plans, assigns and supervises the work performed in the areas of responsibility; ensures compliance with District policy and practices and appropriate federal, state and local rules and regulations.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
– Five (5) or more years of leadership and experience in a communications field is required.
– Experience working proactively with media relations is required.
Education Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is required.
