Full-Time Children’s System of Care Policy Coordinator (OPA4)

What Will You Do?

Provide statewide leadership, coordination, and oversight to System of Care and supporting and serving as lead staff to the Children’s System of Care Advisory Council created through SB 1 2019 and ensure that committee meetings, materials and members are coordinated, identified and strategically designed.

Consistently treat customers, stakeholders, partners, vendors, and co-workers with dignity and respect. Create and maintain a work environment that is respectful and accepting of diversity. Models inclusive and anti-racist behaviors.

Cultivation of equitable practices across all aspects of the position description, learn and apply knowledge and skills to interrupt systemic racism and oppression of marginalized groups and facilitate dismantling of systematic discrimination in the system of care where children and families enter.

Act as lead coordinating staff to the Children’s System of Care Advisory Council ensuring membership coordination, and that all meetings and materials are organized, documented and strategically designed.

Organize, coordinate, develop and provide detailed, independent and comprehensive research, policy analyses and recommendations on policy strategies and options for the Children’s System of Care Advisory Council.

Evaluate potential policies for alignment with System of Care initiative and weighs recommendations that would change statewide systems. Evaluate data from state and private providers and health systems and initiatives to identify trends, benchmark program implementation barriers and opportunities, and overall support statewide for policies related to the Children’s System of Care. Recommends strategic changes and priorities to System of Care initiative.

Create materials for internal and external use support the statewide System of Care and the education of the advisory council.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.

OR;

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
