DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Corporate Business Segment in Columbus, Indiana but open to candidates located near other Midwest locations.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Responsible for leading one of the Castings team sub-categories -Responsibility will include developing, presenting, and executing global category strategy for assigned sub-categories.
• Works closely with EBU, PSBU, and CTT on business needs (new technologies, cost, regional content, etc.) and gain required support (capital, engineering resources, priority, etc.) to execute the category strategy.
• Manages a set of assigned suppliers in the US for the cast and machined components.
• Responsible for developing USMCA suppliers for meeting regional needs
• Will be independently presenting sourcing or strategy proposals to senior leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function. Degree in Engineering or Management (MBA) Business Administration is HIGHLY preferred. Minimum of 5 years in a sourcing and category management role.
• Proven experience in Castings, Machining and/or sourcing and category management including contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and leading projects.
• Ability to develop and present complex strategies to leadership for review and approval.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
