Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join our team specializing in Cloud Platforms for our Infrastructure Dept. in Columbus, IN. This is a hybrid opportunity.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Implement, support DevOps toolsets e.g., configuration management, containers, CI/CD, Source code Control and IaC).
• Implement, support, and migrate applications (lift and shift, refactor) onto Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI or VMC on AWS).
• Proactively seek new value-add automation opportunities for internal customers and converts those new opportunities to realized value.
• On-time delivery of projects while striving for high degree of automation
• Assists in creating and managing the technical specifications from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the application, infrastructure or complete solution.
• Assists in technical analysis of potential solutions including evaluating the technical fit and viability of commercial-of-the-shelf products versus custom built solution.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• A BS degree in IT or related subject required with a minimum of 3 years of IT implementation experience in infrastructure engineering and automation DevOps AND a minimum of 2 years of cloud experience.
• Experience with creating reference architectures, implementation, and system design documentation.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or OCI Cloud platforms
• Experience with SCCM or Puppet configuration management tools
• Hands on programming skills (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, JavaScript, Go, etc.)
• Experience in cloud management platform, vRealize Automation a plus
• Proficient in key database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) clustering, replication, database encryption, and performance tuning
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
