Software Engineer Lead

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer Lead to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Distribution Business from your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Being responsible for building high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications. Key participant in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
• Developing software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle; Document and demonstrate solutions; Develops flow charts, layouts and documentation
• Determine feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions; Understand business needs and know how to create the tools to manage them
• Preparing and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming
• Recommend state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations; remain passionate about great technologies, especially open source
• Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and issues while protecting IT assets by keeping information confidential; Improve applications by conducting systems analysis recommending changes in policies and procedures
• Be part of high performing, self-managed Agile team to deliver customer-focused software solutions faster

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms & Reporting, Java/J2EE, Oracle DB, Oracle Weblogic & Operating System Platforms.
• Experience with DevOps including scripting, automation of Build, Deploy, Testing & Release Management
• Working knowledge of Cloud Computing, Data Mapping/Integrations & APIs are strongly preferred
• Experience in Sales, Service & Supply Chain domains is preferred
• Professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or related subject, or relevant experience equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
