We are looking for a talented Manager, Business Development to join our Cummins Filtrations team in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S (Hybrid)
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Leads multiple Growth Office projects. Engages with external entities as well as the internal organization to identify ideas that (a) are potential growth opportunities for Cummins (b) offer significant efficiency improvements (efficiency, quality, cost) over existing operational processes, or, (c) maybe potential disruption to Cummins business due to technology, policy or other macro-trends.
• Communicates complex strategy topics clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences through both written and oral communication.
• Demonstrates Motivation and Sense of Ownership – Feels and projects a high degree of motivation and sense of ownership for the project outcomes and the success of the Business.
• Broad and intermediate level relevant work experience required. The experience could be across different functional areas, such as technical, financial, Supply Chain, etc.
• Network and contact development. Able to quickly identify and gain access to leaders of potential partner organizations
Skills:
• Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives.
• Strategic thinker and able to quickly understand diverse business issues and design credible solutions
• Creative negotiator and comfortable working with senior executives to identify compelling win/win business opportunities; able to manage risk/reward across new and evolving business initiatives

Education:
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
