About the position

The Senior Manager of Innovation, Collaborative Improvement will play an important role in launching an innovative initiative that will transform how we develop and train leaders in communities. Primarily reporting to the Senior Director of Innovation, Collaborative Improvement, you will work with all members of the team to implement course pilots, develop course content, and serve as the course lead of offerings connected to StriveTogether’s collaborative improvement methodology, which supports place-based partnerships to improve outcomes for Black, Latine, Asian, Indigenous and low-income children and families in their community.

We’re looking for someone who can help write, develop, and maintain courses and learning experiences for our cradle-to-career network members and other place-based partnerships. You’ll spend your days using your experience translating complex concepts into an easy to understand and digestible format to develop and shape content that is relevant to the work communities need to do to improve conditions for groups in their community.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the country’s only national network of cradle-to-career partnerships and build an innovative training institute that will support community partnerships across the country. The training institute aims to equip leaders to drive fundamental change in their communities to remove the roots of systemic racial and economic inequality by offering training and certification to help leaders work across systems to transform systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Curriculum and Course Development

  • Utilize your experience and conduct research to develop quality curricula and learning resources.
  • Work collaboratively with StriveTogether innovation team to determine types of human-centered design, Results Count, continuous improvement, and coaching content to produce.
  • Design, test and publish content and tools, ensuring representational content and equitable sourcing and access.
  • Establish feasible timeframes to achieve the goals and objectives outlined in the courses and curriculum.
  • Support the development of a range of digital resources to optimize learning.
  • Create supplementary facilitator and group meeting guides.
  • Collaborate with other StriveTogether staff, eLearning designers, course participants and members of place-based partnership to create new or revised learning resources.

Course Implementation

  • Ensure best possible delivery of pilot courses focused on collaborative improvement tools and techniques.
  • Manage and maximize content within the delivery platform to ensure pilot course success.
  • Review user analytics and direct consumer feedback to track and report engagement and use data to improve course implementation.
  • Monitor course progress and make relevant changes to curriculum.
  • Collect feedback from course participants and adjust content and curriculum.
  • Engage in continuous improvement cycles to plan, hypothesize, test and improve the design and delivery of course flow, curriculum and content to get better results.
  • Facilitate course-wide learning sessions to support peer-learning and support for individuals and teams
  • Work closely with course coaches to design and develop optimal support for course participants.
  • Manage assignment of course coaches and provide direction to ensure strong customer experience aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in curriculum design and/or leadership development program implementation
  • Experience in the social service sector, results orientation and strong orientation to racial equity required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and comfort in collaborative networked environments
  • Creative problem-solving aptitude, with proven ability to work collaboratively to address challenges, resolve conflicts and handle strategic issues with diverse partners
  • Autonomy to balance independent work with limited guidance and collaborative work
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience communicating complex topics to audiences with a range of familiarity
  • Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously, with experience organizing and prioritizing work quickly in response to changing needs
  • Commitment to learning and applying Results Count™ framework
  • Growth mindset with an inclination for learning, continuous improvement and action
  • Some travel may be required

Position Details

This is an exempt position with a salary of $66,000-$98,000. StriveTogether offers competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience and skills.  Due to COVID-19, staff are currently working a mix of remotely and in office and may continue to do so for a period of time. This position will work out of the Cincinnati, Ohio, or Chicago, Illinois, office.
