The Director of Merchant Monitoring directs and oversees the design, development, and communication of Analyst Operations activities to ensure market competitiveness, client retention, and organizational excellence.  This role requires people leadership / management skills, process management skills, tactical planning skills, and business matrix management skills. The role has advanced ability to lead and coach others in alignment with LegitScript’s management philosophy. This role has an understanding of operational efficiency, including P&L, and how to apply such principles across areas of Analyst Operations, and coaches others to gain this skill set.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assists the VP, Analyst Operations, in setting strategic priorities
  • Provides day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors the mission and core values of LegitScript
  • Oversee allocation of staffing resources and responsibilities to support business priorities; support and promote timely, desired outcomes for these priorities
  • Leads planning and implementation teams for critical, department-wide projects as needed
  • Measures the effectiveness of all process internal and external; and provides timely, accurate and complete performance and statistical reports on the operating condition of the department
  • Provides guidance on prioritization and complex questions from the team
  • Recruits, mentors and grows high-performing teams
  • Institutes meaningful measurements of operational efficiency
  • Oversees process management of managers and senior analysts
  • Institutes and communicates cross-team and cross-department processes to improve information flow and efficiency

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members along with willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance
  • Well-developed ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write English

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the payments industry (underwriting, risk mitigation, AML, or other compliance-related)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role ideally with a recurring revenue model
  • Bachelor’s Degree with substantial management experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
  • Superior management skills and a successful track record of success
  • Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work within a fast paced, quickly evolving organization and manage multiple complex priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
