Full-Time Test Technician – 22000164

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Test Technician to join our team specializing in engineering for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

•    Develops product systems validation plans from a variety of inputs to identify failure modes, while managing product risk and relative priority
•    Develops a physics-based understanding of customer duty cycles using real world collected data representative of the full range of customer usage
•    Mitigates potential product failure modes, by identifying interfaces, functions, functional requirements, interactions, control factors, noise factors, and prioritized potential failure modes and potential failure causes for the system of interest to effectively and efficiently improve the reliability of Cummins’ products.
•    Uses appropriate methods and tools to translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements to which designs are developed
•    Identifies and analyzes the interfaces and interactions across system boundaries by specifying the requirements and limits to ensure that the product meets requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline
•    5+ years of related professional experience
•    Experience with plumbing and pressure testing gaseous systems with various gases such as hydrogen & nitrogen.
•    Experience performing model system development
•    Experience in “hands-on” development of electromechanical prototypes and fixtures.
•    Knowledge of data acquisition systems (DAQ), including associated DAQ sensors such as thermocouples and pressure transducers.
