Job Description
- Leads the Office of Renewable Energy Programs (OREP) as the Chief, Office of Renewable Energy Programs.
- Serves as the strategic executive and a key principal leader in the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) in the implementation and management of renewable energy leasing, evaluations, environmental programs, formation of task forces, state consultation, and post-lease plans and permits throughout the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS).
- Provides executive-level leadership to a large team of highly technical staff and contractors in the formation of objectives and priorities to successfully promote clean energy generation and efficiency with the collaboration of other Federal agencies; State, local and Tribal governments; and stakeholder and public interest groups on matters pertaining to offshore renewable energy.
- Empowers and fosters team commitment to motivate high performance in the achievement towards the oversight of renewable energy development and implementation in addition to providing hands-on support in various tasks and initiatives within OREP.
- Engages in the development of renewable energy resources on the OCS through conscientious planning, stakeholder engagement, comprehensive environmental analysis, and sound technical review.
- Represents BOEM and the renewable energy program in a variety of public fora.
