Full-Time EBU Technical Strategy & Integration Director
Job Description
We are looking for a talented Technical Strategy & Integration Director to join our team specializing in Engineering Architecture for our Engine Business in Columbus, IN. This is a hybrid role and can be performed from your home office with travel to Indiana.
This product focused leadership position communicates the capability of a platform-level design concept to meet a vast set of cross-market requirements including a holistic assessment of alternative and competitive platforms, and leads the development of platform-level requirements by working effectively with other engineering and cross-functional disciplines, including those to resolve current platform deficiencies.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Obtain input and leads the negotiation and design with cross-functional and cross-discipline technical experts and senior-level designers to communicate complex system-level design intent at the platform-level through a thorough design review package to the Product Preceding Technology, (PPT), or Value Package Introduction (VPI) team requiring a such holistic assessment of various design concepts.
* Lead technical strategy, initiatives, and architecture. Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies.
* Creates and develops a holistic product platform including key architectural feature and function variants.
* Generates alternative architectures traceable to the requirements and performs trade-off analysis in collaboration with life-cycle stakeholders.
* Lead, innovate and develop engine systems from conceptual design to production capable solutions.
* Demonstrated background in leading, and launching, innovative scalable engine systems, including valve trains, into global markets.
* Applies usage of design, and simulation, tools to complex global engine systems.
* Defines the system of interest by drawing the boundaries, identifying its context within its environment, its interfaces, and that it has a lifecycle to aid in planning the problem statement, scope and deliverables; analyzes linkages and interactions between elements that comprise the system of interest by using appropriate methods, models and integration of outcomes to understand the system, predict its behavior and devise modifications to it in order to produce the desired effects.
* Applies and leads the execution of processes such as Critical Design Decisions, System Design and Validation Consideration Checklist, Design Review and tools such as iDFMEA, DVA, GD&T, CREO, ANSYS Workbench required to enable high quality New Unique and Difficult (NUD), system-level, and platform-level design decision making and design refinement.

Education/Experience
* College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
