We are looking for a talented Thermal and Fluid Systems Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate R&T in Columbus, IN / your approved hybrid location.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• This role will be responsible to make aftertreatment architecture recommendations, conduct component selection and evaluate system performance trade-offs to meet future legislative and customer-driven requirements in hybrid/electric powertrains and novel combustion engines, etc.
• The key responsibilities include: evaluate aftertreatment solutions and optimize system performance through analysis led design and testing; resolve complex performance challenges using expertise in catalysts and system interaction fundamentals; support the development of controls and on-board diagnostics; assist the internal and external customers to better understand the risks and advantages associated with the architecture and component technologies; establish aftertreatment system and component performance requirements; improve aftertreatment tools and processes.
• New product and / or current product experience is desirable.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Aftertreatment system simulation, performance testing and data analysis experience is required.
• Strong communication skills and project management skills are required
• At least 3 years of prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required. Post-graduate (Master’s) degree relevant to this discipline area would a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
