We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team!
How You’ll Contribute
- Lead design and development of mechanical, robotic, fluidic and thermal systems
- Design and build test fixtures to characterize performance and reliability of hardware systems
- Work with manufacturing, service, and operations teams to develop tests, troubleshoot instrumentation and document procedures
- Support the integration of designs with biological and chemical processes, software and electrical systems
- Manage projects and relationships with external engineering consultants and fabrication vendors
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- BS/MS in Mechanical engineering
- 5-8 years of experience
- Proficient with CAD and FEA (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience with the full product life cycle (concept to launch)
- Hands-on style, with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
- Attention to detail and a thorough approach to solving technical challenges
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Programming/data analysis skills (Python, MATLAB)
- Basic electrical engineering fabrication and design skills
- Willing to commute to Newark, CA
