We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team!

How You’ll Contribute

  • Lead design and development of mechanical, robotic, fluidic and thermal systems
  • Design and build test fixtures to characterize performance and reliability of hardware systems
  • Work with manufacturing, service, and operations teams to develop tests, troubleshoot instrumentation and document procedures
  • Support the integration of designs with biological and chemical processes, software and electrical systems
  • Manage projects and relationships with external engineering consultants and fabrication vendors 

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • BS/MS in Mechanical engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Proficient with CAD and FEA (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Experience with the full product life cycle (concept to launch)
  • Hands-on style, with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
  • Attention to detail and a thorough approach to solving technical challenges
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Programming/data analysis skills (Python, MATLAB)
  • Basic electrical engineering fabrication and design skills
  • Willing to commute to Newark, CA
