Part-Time Dance Teaching Faculty
Job Description
Position Overview:
Keshet is seeking a 2-3 new faculty members for a range of program offerings. The ideal candidate may be one that specializes in just one of these areas, or might be a person who brings skills and background in multiple areas. The position/s can be full time or part time depending on the scope of expertise and number of program areas within which a candidate would connect.
Dance Faculty Opportunities include:
- Community Class teaching faculty
- Youth and/or adults
- Contemporary, ballet, creative movement, Mixed Ability Dance, other
- M3 Teaching Faculty
- M3 (Movement + Mentorship = Metamorphosis) is Keshet’s customized program which teaches daily dance programming within NM’s juvenile prison system.
- Taught within the high school setting for incarcerated youth.
- This program includes connectivity to post-release programming and a broader scope of Keshet’s Arts and Justice Initiatives.
- Teaching Certificate (K-12, substitute approved) is a plus, but not required
- Those with lived experience in the justice system (themselves and/or their families are encouraged to apply.
- Salary range: $15-18/hour
