Full-Time Project Worker – Crawley
Job Description
We need a committed and passionate person to become part of the team to work in a holistic manner and a psychologically informed approach to support young people.
Staff take on an assets balanced approach to actively encourage young people into education, employment and training by providing 1:1 sessions and group work called More Than A Room.
Top Criteria
- Experience working with a similar client group and a good understanding of the needs and challenges posed by young people is desirable
- Understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
- Ability to provide group work and activities that enable young people to achieve the skills they need to maintain their lives independently
- An excellent planner and organiser, who is able to manage lots of tasks at the same time and keep appropriate records
Top Responsibilities
- Keep clear records of a young persons journey in relation to their needs, risks, strengths/assets and outcomes.
- Delivers group or one-to-one sessions for young people that provide a platform for their assets and skills to be recognised and developed
- Identify and keep track of the needs and the risks presented by the young person to ensure they can keep themselves safe.
- Record all incidents, accidents and safeguarding issues that require further investigation and share appropriately with staff, managers and safeguarding team.
Expected working pattern:
You will work on a three week rolling rota with the following hours:
- M- 1-9; T – 1-9; W – 7-3; T- 7-3; F -1-9.
- M- 1-9; T – 1-9; W – 1-9; T- 9-5; F -7-3.
- M- 7-4; T – 7-2; W – 1-9; T- 9-5; F -1-9.
