Job Description

We are looking for a talented Market Insights Director to join our team specializing in Market Intelligence for Cummins globally in Columbus, IN. This role can work from your home office with travel to Indiana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Leads and develops a high performing team by motivating, mentoring, and developing employees, and champions a culture of intelligence gathering, insights generation and value-added support.
• Builds and leads market intelligence activity for Cummins. Develops capable resources, as well as processes, to deliver market intelligence requirements that inform business decision making.
• Establishes strong networks and relationships across the business, functions and regions to ensure alignment and create efficiencies.
• Conceptualizes and deploys intelligence methods, tools, and techniques to ensure delivery of quality market data, insights, and recommendations that guide business decisions.
• Aligns with business leaders to prioritize key market intelligence efforts and cascade them through the team.
• Serves as an advisor and thought partner in the decision-making process.
• Highly proficient in developing knowledge networks throughout the business, distribution channel, and external sources.

• Market forecasting – analyzes and interprets market data from a variety of internal and external sources and modeling to formulate unbiased market projections specific to business segment.
• Market positioning – compiles market overview and trends to build frameworks which provide market insights to the decision-making process

Education/Experience
• College, university or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related subject required.
• MBA or equivalent degree highly preferred.
• 7-10 years in business, marketing, or market research.
• 4-5 years as a manager/people leader.
• Proven success in building relationships/partnerships and teams.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
