DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Heavy Duty in Use Test Group Leader to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate Business Unit
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Leads a small technical group of supervisors and/or technicians, allocates appropriate resources to meet customer needs and provides feedback to project team members in accomplishing tasks and goals.
• Works primarily with internal customers to understand their needed support requirements and engages collaboratively to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
• Applies sound knowledge of engineering principles and manages teams on the specification, design and maintenance of the work environment in support of customer needs
• Provides independent leadership of smaller business impact projects or ownership of complex components, products, systems or services with greater elements of ambiguity over an entry level engineer and with full accountability to the project team.
• Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge.
• Leads the development and improvement of work processes and systems across a functional discipline area within a business unit site.
• Coordinates and directs work amongst technicians and temporary student employees, assists in the transfer of knowledge to lesser experienced engineers through either indirect (scope of influence) or direct management of a small, local group of engineers.
• Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Demonstrated aptitude is required. A college, university, or equivalent associate’s degree or certification in an Engineering Technology area is required.
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
• This position will require a dynamic individual who can provide direction to OCU technicians, coordinate customer procurement with Cummins Sales and Service teams, Analyzing Portable Emissions Measurement data for regulatory compliance, and working cross functionally within the IUT team with the equipment and internal test team.
• Must be comfortable with or willing to learn how to work with laboratory grade emissions measuring equipment.
This testing has weather requirements, so travel to warm weather locations in the colder months is a requirement.
• Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
