Job Description
We are looking for a talented Electronic Systems Performance Tech Specialist to join our team specializing in Fuel System Controls for our Electronics and Fuel Systems Unit in Columbus, IN/ home office. (Hybrid)
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Develop detailed understanding of high-pressure common rail (HPCR) fuel systems and embedded software controls.
• Perform testing on benches, fuel system rigs, test cells, and vehicles to validate controls performance.
• Submit defect reports to document software issues.
• Write Tuning Guides and Concept of Operation documents that adhere to established best practices.
• Enable the use of new fuel system hardware by tailoring and tuning existing calibrations.
• Design and calibrate new fuel system control algorithms.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline is required; a Master’s degree with control theory emphasis is preferred
• 4 or more years of Controls Engineering experience
• Experience with fuel system hardware including injectors and high-pressure pump
• Experience in Excel data analysis
• MATLAB scripting and Simulink simulation experience
• Classic PID and modern model based (Kalman filter) control theory experience desired
• Experience in Digital signal processing
• Object-oriented design and real-time embedded software
• Experience using engine control module (ECM) communication tools like Canape
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
