Job Description
We are looking for a talented Technical Project Leader (On-Highway) to join our team specializing in Product Engineering for our Emission Solutions Unit in Columbus, IN/ home office. (Hybrid)
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Obtains input from stakeholders such as technical managers, project leaders, other product and manufacturing engineers and supplier partners to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
• Uses systems knowledge and expertise to make decisions in the areas of technology integration, design, analysis and experimental test verification and validation for both new and current products that impact product form, functionality, and overall project risk trade-offs.
• Creates, manages, improves and applies processes such Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG) and tools such as 7-step problem solving, design review checklist and other specialized tools required to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.
• Provides problem resolution leadership for complex systems with a high degree of ambiguity and often global business impact.
• Leads the development and improvement of work processes and systems across function(s) within a global business unit or managing improvement across business units.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline
• 5 or more years of experience in engine/aftertreatment/vehicle integration and emission control technologies
• Stakeholder collaboration and negotiation skills
• The ability to effectively communicate status and challenges to all levels of the organization
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
