Full-Time Sales Director

Opportunity
As the first Sales Director at Mind Share Partners, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of the growing movement to end the stigma of mental health in the workplace. You’ll set the vision and strategy for outbound sales for the organization, in collaboration with the Head of Marketing, the COO, and (the future) Head of Client Services. You’ll research leads, prioritize strategic outreach, connect with prospects, and create and improve sales processes. You’ll be part of a team that is entrepreneurial and creative, working in a small, nimble, growing nonprofit startup that moves quickly.
Responsibilities
- Setting vision and direction: With a comprehensive understanding of our offerings and annual goals, set the vision and strategy for outbound sales.
- Lead generation: Enhance present strategy and lead execution of identifying company prospects. Partner with leadership and board to identify outbound opportunities within their networks.
- Prospect cultivation and closing: Cultivate and meet with interested prospects, particularly those at the senior/executive level, and leverage your relationship building skills to influence to close a project. Partner with the (the future) Sales Manager to manage and optimize inbound prospect response and process.
- Continued Sales Cultivation: Collaborate with Principals on repeat client sales. Share best practices and continue to nurture relationships for future projects.
- People Management: Hire and manage a Sales Manager, collaborating to build the foundational practices of the sales department and coaching and developing the Sales Manager to develop and meet their goals.
- Copywriting: Draft outreach emails and other sales communications that speak to client needs.
- CRM: Oversee sales analytics. Collaborate with the (the future) Sales Manager to create weekly reports to manage the team’s outreach and follow-up efforts, managing sales processes, including automatic email outreach.
- Sales analyses: Identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Lead quarterly and ad hoc sales analyses to ensure the team is staying on track to achieve targets.
- Sales process improvement: Identify strategies to streamline and improve internal sales processes. Identify new outreach mechanisms and outlets.
- Collaborate with marketing function: Work together with marketing function to ensure that external messaging is consistent with sales trends and supporting sales goals.
Qualifications
- Experienced: 8+ years of professional experience, ideally in a corporate sales or related setting selling services.
- Experienced Revenue-Generator: Comfortable making asks, with a proven track record of identification, cultivation in a fundraising, business development, or sales capacity. Experience working in or around a sales environment, including knowledge of industry best practices. Familiar with basic vocabulary and processes.
- Relationship Builder & People-Oriented: Skilled at navigating corporate structures, networking with senior leaders/executives, influencing and motivating, and developing long-term partnerships. Enjoys working with people, sky-high EQ, gravitas to work with corporate and non-profit partners.
- Seasoned Project Manager: Responsive, organized, and detail-oriented project manager. Ability to influence and support others in the organization to prioritize work and stay on top of goals.
- Strong Written and Verbal Communicator: Ability to explain Mind Share’s value proposition convincingly and succinctly, good listener, and clear professional communicator.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinker: Experience in and aptitude for sales analysis. Able to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Learning-Minded: Ability to observe and learn company culture quickly. Willing to test, ask questions, and test again to continually improve services and results across all areas.
- People Manager: <preferred> 2+ years of experience managing direct reports. Ability to hire strong talent, coach and develop others towards success.
- Sales analytics experience: <preferred> Basic understanding of using Salesforce.
- Entrepreneurial: A self-starter and equally comfortable with collaboration and autonomy. Thrives in a growing environment, contributes creative ideas, takes feedback in stride.
- Team Player: Willing to pitch in at all levels of the organization, not self-focused, unafraid to dig into the nitty-gritty work. Enthused about the idea of building out a sales function.
- Passionate: Passionate about mental health and wellness, committed to Mind Share Partners’ mission.
Logistics
- This role is a full-time role that can be based anywhere in the United States; we have a nationally distributed team.
- All of Mind Share’s current work is done remotely via video due to the pandemic. Occasional travel (once or twice per quarter) may be required in the future, when safe and appropriate.
- This role will report to Jen Porter, Chief Operating Officer in the near-term. In the future, it may report to a new executive team member, the Head of Strategic Services. The role will work with all members of the Mind Share Partners team.

Mind Share Partners offers competitive pay, commensurate with your skills and experience. The compensation range for this role is $105-120k.
