Job Description
We are looking for a talented Customer Engineering Solutions Director North America to join our team specializing in hydrogen fuel cell and electrolyzer technology for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Responsible for all engineering and design execution matters on large customer projects.
• Manage and/or assist the Engineering Project Delivery Managers or Project Managers.
• Provide strategic oversight and support to the engineering project delivery team.
• Manage all customer projects during all stages of the project lifecycle: from setup, execution, monitoring and controlling to final close out of the project. T
• Manage Cummins’ business interests, including: the prime contract, revenues, receivables, project viability and profitability.
• Manage all the projects and their delivery process to meet the customer’s goals, objectives, and expectations.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree an asset.
• Minimum 10 years of experience engineering design experience in cross functional leadership roles including involvement in at least one significant heavy industrial EPC/EPCM project.
• Ability to lead a team of Engineering Project Delivery Managers and multiple projects/tasks and drive projects to completion.
• Experience in engineering, procurement and construction, and other project-related activities, their interfaces, and interdependencies. Broad knowledge of industry standards.
• Strong customer/client focus.
• Advanced safety awareness.
• Ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders involved in projects (including internal and external clients).
• Strong leadership skills/proven leadership skills and abilities.
• Experience with running large scale projects in a matrix large organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
• Manages complexity – Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
