Full-Time Strategy Director – Power Generation (Hybrid) – 210006ZX

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Strategy Director to join our team specializing in Strategy & Market Intelligence for our Power Generation Business Segment in Columbus, IN and Minneapolis, MN. This role is hybrid with business travel as needed.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Direct a variety of business strategy projects that produce recommendations for addressing major strategic opportunities, identify major growth opportunities and develop business plans for realizing these opportunities; projects will be focused on power generation and may involve the creation of a new business venture, such as a joint venture, equity alliance, acquisition, etc.
• Key team member of Global Power Generation Leadership Team with direct line reporting to Power Systems Strategy Leader.
• Serve as key thought partner with the Power Generation leader, regional or product segment directors to formulate strategy.
• Accountable to design, organize and lead the annual simulation process resulting in long-term top and bottom line growth objectives underpinned by specific strategies and prioritized incentives.
• Drive formulation of the organization goal-tree and ensure resource allocation decisions are being reconciled iteratively
• Play a leadership role in establishing the right environment for employees to thrive

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Strategic problem solving – drives solutions to strategic problems that fall outside of past experience through a top-down, hypothesis-driven approach with frequent iteration that evolved with diverse learnings gathered through the course of the project.
Thought leadership – demonstrates independence and insightfulness through objectively approaching problems with creativity and appropriate development and use of frameworks.
• Communicates effectively – developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Execution orientation – help implement strategic recommendations resulting from various business strategy projects.

Education/Experience
• Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent degree required.
• Power generation transmission and distribution or energy trading experience desired.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
