We are looking for a highly motivated Manager, Consumable Manufacturing to join our team!

 

The Manager, Consumable Manufacturing will lead consumable scale-up efforts, establishing robust systems and workflows as we graduate from pilot manufacturing to volume production. The candidate will be expected to work cohesively with Engineering, Operations, Materials, Purchasing, Compliance, and Product teams.

 

How You’ll Contribute

  • Lead scale up of consumable & reagent manufacturing to meet company goals
  • Schedule and oversee daily production activities, strategically prioritizing and planning work assignments to meet production output requirements
  • Proactively track production output, and drive continuous efficiency improvements
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and provide leadership through people management responsibilities such as hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, etc.
  • Work closely with Engineering to drive automation projects and implement changes or modifications to equipment or processes to improve production efficiency, quality, manufacturability, and cost of products
  • Work closely with Materials and Purchasing teams to monitor, track and maintain inventory of raw materials and lab consumables
  • Work closely with Facilities & Operations teams for space planning, storage requirements, and logistics
  • Establish and maintain data management systems
  • Prepare and revise SOPs, review and approve batch records and official documentation
  • Promote positive and cohesive team environment, and lab environment compliant with cGMP/ISO regulations

 

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • BS or MS degree in chemical engineering, bioengineering, or closely related field
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with 3-4 years of reagent/consumable manufacturing experience required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of managerial experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, ability to effectively train and motivate a team while instilling a culture of high standards and productivity
  • Collaborates effectively with other teams, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, dependable
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • ERP/PLM implementation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to rapidly identify, adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
