We are looking for a highly motivated Optomechanical Design Engineer to join our team!
How You’ll Contribute
- Own the design process for opto-mechanical components.
- Go from concept to detailed design, ensuring that requirements are met.
- Excellent understanding of geometric tolerancing
- Assembly of first articles and testing to ensure requirements are being met.
- Create assembly and test procedures, and handoff support to manufacturing
- Troubleshoot problems during production
- Execute feasibility tests to accelerate path finding.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience.
- Familiarity with Solidworks or equivalent modeling software
- Experience with precision mechanics and micron level tolerances
- Prior experience in opto-mechanical systems highly desirable
- Hands-on and independent work style, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
