Full-Time Senior Mechanical Designer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Perform mechanical design and 3D modeling on AutoCAD and Revit.
· Develop and prepare layout drawings and specifications.
· Provide mechanical calculations.
· Liaise with clients and all project stakeholders directly through emails or phone calls.
· Able to collect and provide proper site measurements and information as required. On-site verification of layout drawings as required.
· Very well experience in related standards such as Canadian codes, the Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.
· Prepare contract and tender documents.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering.
· 10-15 years drafting/design experience in building mechanical and electrical systems.
· Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
· Organized and solid attention to detail.
· Mastery AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam.
· Eagerness to learn and accept new challenges.
· Knowledge of electrical design.
· Knowledge of mechanical design in industrial projects such as oil and gas plants.
· Excellent team spirit and good communication skills.
· Master’s in engineering management is an asset.
