Overview
Morning Brew is rapidly expanding our podcast network and we’re looking for an expert producer to join the charge in developing new podcasts. If you are obsessed with learning about the biggest topics in business, and want to inform and entertain the Brew’s massive audience by developing and launching new shows, then this job is for you.
As a Podcast Development Producer, you will work with our Executive Producer and Director of Audio to build and launch several new audio properties. You will help write scripts, edit episodes, facilitate recordings, pitch stories and coordinate with key stakeholders across the multimedia department to grow our listenership.
This role is perfect for a passionate and seasoned podcast producer/showrunner with new show development experience and a passion for creating informative, original shows. Great candidates are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have experience working with both in-house and external talent.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
– Developing podcast episodes and formats
– Pitching show concepts, coordinating recordings and managing episode production
– Editing recorded audio into polished podcast episodes, including scoring and other creative production.
– Publishing and packaging podcast episodes
– Coordinating with several key stakeholders across the newsroom (video, written, social) to market the Brew’s podcasts to new audiences.
What makes you qualified?
– Passion for the Brew’s key content areas: business, work-life and money
– A genuine desire to develop new podcasts for the modern business leader
– You are highly collaborative and an excellent communicator, with podcast research and script-writing experience.
– 4-5 years of experience in podcast production/management
– Expertise in audio editing (Pro Tools proficiency highly preferred)
